A Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel, diamond and ruby-set keyless coleopterous beetle-form watch with a concealed dial, circa 1890.
The case is beetle-shaped. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, outer gold minute dots and Louis XV hands. An oval-shaped, gilded brass movement with going barrel, 24 x 20 mm, a cylinder escapement, gilt-brass monometallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring.
