Yellow gold and enamel lever watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold and enamel hunting cased key wind pocket watch made by Robert Brandt in Geneva, circa 1845. The lateral lever movement with 15 jewels and a bimetallic compensation balance. Silvered engine turned dial with Roman numerals, a gilt engraved center and an outer edge with applied floral decoration. The case with a polychrome enamel scene on the front showing the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus, on the reverse, central enamelled Christian symbols and a further gold cuvette. Case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered.
