An important and exclusive Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless pocket watch with nine complications made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1922. This astronomical watch repeats the minutes and features a perpetual calendar, moon phases, a split seconds chronograph, and an instantaneous 30 minute register. Repeating on gongs with a slide in the band. The chronograph with visible work, a button on the winding crown and split seconds push piece in the band. Plain case with a hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial with applied gold Arabic hours, black Arabic five minute numerals, an outer minute track with fifth of a second divisions, a subsidiary dial for the 30 minute register with concentric phases of the moon at 12 o’clock, the date at 3, the months of the year at 6, the days of the week at 9 and gold leaf hands. A rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 40 jewels, counterpoised straight fine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, eight adjustments and a Breguet balance spring with swan neck micrometric index. Dial, case and movement are signed.

The Patek 767 is a true masterpiece created by Patek Philippe featuring a perpetual calendar, split second chronograph and minute repeater. Using movements from the 1920s and cased around 1960, this reference features different case designs, either in this elegant, round case (767/1) or with the more chunky double stepped case (767/3). Each appears to have unique features, sometimes with the moonphase at 6 o’clock rather than at 12 and sometimes with baton or Arabic indexes. Maintained in excellent overall condition, only 7 pieces of reference 767 are known, with this example being the only one with Arabic numerals and moonphase at 12 o’clock.
