Gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch

A very fine Swiss, carillon minute repeating, 18K gold, astronomical hunting cased keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, moon phase and lunar calendar, circa 1890. A polished case with engraved initials within a central cartouche. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, months concentric with leap-year cycle and small seconds, aperture at 12 o’clock for phases of the moon with a scale for the moon’s age. Black steel spade hands.

A nickel-silver movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line counterpoised and calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, carillon repeating with three hammers on three gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
