A fine French 18 carat gold, painted on enamel and rose cut diamond set pocket watch, circa 1790. The bezel is set with rose cut diamonds within a chased gold border, the back is decorated with translucent royal blue enamel decorated with a painted scene of a landscape with a dog and two doves, gold paillon urn in the centre, applied diamond set highlights and border. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals and rose cut diamond set hands. Matte gilt, full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three arm brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and chased continental cock with polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial. Dial and movement signed.
