An Interesting Swiss 18 carat gold double sided astronomical manual winding pocket watch, circa 1890. This watch features a nickel plated movement with Geneva striping and lever escapement. It has two dials: on the front, a white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a sunk subsidiary dial for the constant seconds, an aperture for the moon phases, and spade hands; on the back, displays for the day, month, and date. It has an 18 carat gold, plain polished case, glazed on both sides.
