A rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced key winding pocket watch with visible balance and decentralized time indication made by André Brunet in Geneva, circa 1840. The case is taille douce (fine cut) engraved with a vermicelli motif and flowers on the back. The white enamel dial features decentralized time indication at 12 o’clock with radial Roman hours, outer minute divisions and blued hands, and a visible balance below. The gilded brass movement is fitted with a going barrel, duplex escapement, monometallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring. Cuvette signed.
