A fine Swiss 18K gold, enamel and rose diamond-set lady’s keyless pendant watch, circa 1895. Made for Louis Rey & Cie, Marseille. A polished case, the back decorated with black champlevé enamel with gold repeat pattern border and centred with a rose-cut diamond-set star, the interior with erased inscription and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and gilt Louis XV hands.
A frosted gilt movement, eight jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance with flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Movement signed, cuvette signed by the retailer.
