A very fine Swiss gold, enamel, pearl and diamond-set lever pendant watch in the form of a cross, circa 1890.
The front of the case is decorated with black enamel and applied pink gold ornaments set with half pearls, the centre with an oval hinged enamel cover finely painted with the Madonna surrounded by diamonds, on the back a pink gold, cross form gold dome. Concealed small white enamel dial with radial Roman hours, outer minute divisions and spade hands. Frosted gilt cross form movement, gold screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
