Gold cylinder watch with a portrait of Cupid in the Clouds

A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold and enamel cylinder lady’s pendant watch made for the Polish market, circa 1847. Polished bezel and border, reeded band, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene of a winged cupid resting on a cloud within a scroll border, outer gold foliate border on white enamel ground. Hinged gold cuvette, signed and with the technical details in polish. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and blued steel Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette and movement signed.
