A Swiss lever in a 9K gold half hunter case with the original bill of sale, hallmarked Chester circa 1922. Nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, screwed in jewelling. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, and blue steel half hunter hands. Plain 9 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. Maker’s mark B.B. in an oval. Original bill of sale from a Luton retailer dated September 1923 showing the watch cost £ 10-10-0 (£ 10.50).
