A very fine Swiss, keyless, 18K yellow gold Chronomètre Royal pocket watch, circa 1912. A solid, polished case, engine-turned case back, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, wolf’s tooth winding wheels. Dial, case and movement signed.
