A fine Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating astronomical keyless lever pocket watch with triple date and moon phases, circa 1890. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, chronograph work on the backplate activated by a button in the band, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second track with Arabic five-second numerals, subsidiary dials for the date, days of the week and seconds, apertures for the months and moon phases, and gold Louis XV hands. Engine-turned and polished case. Cuvette signed.
