A fine Swiss yellow gold open faced minute repeating split seconds chronograph watch, made in 1903, retailed by Spaulding & Co. Ligne nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance.
Minute repeating on two hammers on to two gongs, repeat activated through a slide in the band. 18k yellow gold case, signed gold cuvette, personally monogrammed case back.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and decorative gold hands, outer calibrated fifths seconds ring, red Arabic fifth divisions, one sunken subsidiary dial for constant seconds. Polished case, split seconds operated through the crown and a button in the band, monogrammed hinged back. Movement signed by maker, dial signed by retailer, case signed by maker and retailer.
