An important Vacheron & Constantin observatory chronometer, Bulletin De Marche first class with original certificate, circa 1895. An original Chronometer certificate of the Genèva Observatory and original box with accompanying letter. An 18-carat pink gold, à goutte hunting case, Bassine case, very fine chronometer movement, observatory-quality, large balance with gold screws, special chronometer hairspring Coude, distinguished fine adjusting device, wolf’s toothing, number on the cage, lever escapement, undamaged preserved special dial with radial Art Nouveau numerals and red 12, pink golden hands, probably original box made by royal watchmaker Charles Grottendieck from Brussels, excellent condition.

This watch is a museum object. It was delivered to the royal watchmaker Charles Grottendieck in Brussels with a long personal letter describing the outstanding quality of this chronometer. A Vacheron & Constantin pocket watch chronometer of this quality, with all original certificates and in such condition of preservation, is a dream piece for every collector.
