A Swiss pink gold minute repeating keyless lever watch with automaton, circa 1890. The watch has a ligne movement with 28 jewels and a lever escapement. The dial features a silvered chapter ring, black Roman numerals, applied varicoloured gold decorations, an outer minute ring, a centre polychrome enamel painted with applied Jacquemarts depicting blacksmith figures striking an anvil in conjunction with the repeating work, and blued steel spade hands. The 18 carat pink gold hinged case includes a signed cuvette.

The case is in good condition with light wear, some dents, scuffing, and scratches. Some patina present. Hunting case covers are stamped 18K; the cuvette is signed with the maker and case number. The bow shows visible indentation. The movement features a snap-on glazed cover. The dial exhibits wear and patina, with subsidiary seconds and radial Roman numerals showing fading and loss. Patina on tri colour figures, with some dust. Overall, the dial has marks and scratches. Chiming is in phase, and the automaton is operating. The movement runs well.
