An important Swiss 18 carat gold minute repeating split seconds chronograph pocket watch with perpetual calendar, moon phase and age, 60 minute counter and anti clockwise moving central moon phase hand, circa 1902. Glazed movement, Audemars Piguet caliber with 35 jewels in extra quality, highly complicated bar lever movement, German silver with Geneva stripe decoration, split seconds chronograph mechanism, calendar plate, all steel levers finely ground or polished, all levers and bridges bevelled, two hammers, two gongs, fine gilt chronograph wheels, gold screwed compensation balance, blued Breguet balance spring and counterpoised lever, index spring fine adjusting device. White enamel dial, radial Roman hours, moon phase symbols between the hour markers, subsidiary dial for the indication of the month considering the leap year in combination with the 60 minute counter at 12, two subsidiary dials for the indications of weekday and date, subsidiary dial for auxiliary seconds in combination with the moon age markers with cobalt blue enamelled, golden moon phase disc with golden moon and stars at 6, central blued moon hand, blued spade hands. Case with polychrome enamelled family crest of the Dudley family and motto: Nec Gladio Nec Arcu (Neither Sword Nor Bow ), pushers for split seconds chronograph at 11 and in the crown, slide for repeating mechanism.
