Braillard
The history of G. Braillard (later operating as G. Braillard & Frères) is a classic example of a high-end Swiss établisseur (finisher and assembly house) that flourished during the golden era of Swiss pocket watches in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Rather than mass-manufacturing raw movements from scratch, Braillard carved out a highly respected niche by sourcing elite mechanisms and transforming them into luxury, exhibition worthy timepieces.
No formal business partnership or corporate merger existed between LeCoultre & Cie and G. Braillard. However, they operated within the same late 19th to early 20th century Swiss watchmaking ecosystem, which frequently involved standard supply chain transactions.
