An exquisite Swiss heavy 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch of the highest quality made by LeCoultre in Geneva, circa 1890. Numbered engine turned case with plain, stepped bezels, multicoloured monogram WM on the front cover and a magnificent blue enamelled coat of arms with inlaid crescent moons and stars on the reverse, bearing LeCoultre’s hallmark. Perfectly preserved white enamel dial with radial Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and the finest rose gold spade hands. Glazed LeCoultre movement with a precision lever mechanism, wolf teeth and gold running wheels, repeating the quarter hours.
