A Swiss 18K yellow gold quarter repeating keyless pocket watch with independent centre seconds, circa 1890. A solid, polished case, gold-hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds dial, independent centre-seconds and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement, 27 jewels, two-train, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Case signed, case numbered.
