An extremely rare Swiss 18K pink gold minute repeating keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar and moon phases, circa 1890. A massive, polished case, correctors in the band, hinged gold cuvette with engraved presentation inscription. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the date, the months, day of the week, aperture for the moon phases combined with seconds and blued steel pear hands. Rhodium-plated, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Blued steel Breguet balance-sping, index regulator. Minute repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Signed on dial, case (Hess & Metford) and movement (further signed Lecoultre & Co under the hammer).
