Gold five-minute repeating lever watch

A very fine Swiss, five-minute repeating, 18K gold, pearls and enamel, half-hunting cased, keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. A polished case, the front cover with royal blue champleve enamel radial Roman numerals surrounded by pearls, glazed aperture, polished band, and the back cover engraved with blue enamel monogram surrounded by pearls. Hinged gold cuvette with dedication inscription.

Champagne dial with floral engraving to centre, radial black Roman numerals, outer minute dots, and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel double spade hands. A matte gilt movement, 29 jewels some in gold screwed chatons, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with a terminal curve, index regulator, repeating on the gongs activated by a slide on the band. Numbered on the cuvette.
