A rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch with linear triple calendar and moon phases, circa 1890. The polished case has an engraved foliate monogram ET on the back cover and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, Arabic five minutes, outermost fifths of second divisions, an aperture below 12 o’clock for days of the week, date and months, subsidiary seconds with an aperture for the moon phases at 6 and yellow gold Louis XIV hands. A frosted gilt movement with 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, a counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil and an index regulator. Case and movement numbered.
