An extremely rare Art déco Swiss pocket watch, Chronograph Rattrapante, in Cartier-style, from the 1930s.
Polished 18K gold case. Signed silvered dial in Cartier-style with Roman radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, chronograph ring, subsidiary dial for the seconds, 30-minute register, and Breguet blued steel hands. Extremely rare and highly refined signed and numbered precision lever movement with split-seconds chronograph and 27 jewels. Case signed Vacheron & Constantin for Dreicer & Co. New York.
