A large English gold/enamel pocket watch repeater in exceptional museum quality, Ray & Montague London, circa 1815. An 18K gold, English gold punch, pair case, outer case in typical “Ottoman” design with curved rim, both sides multicoloured enamelled, back with sun symbol, rim with floral gold inlays, very solid and high quality case, 5-part lateral hinge, opening button set with a diamond, inner case of outstanding quality and multicoloured enamelled, typical Ottoman ornaments, rim pierced, pendant set with a large diamond, bow also enamelled, bell, splendidly decorated, signed and numbered English verge movement in top quality, diamond endstone, balance cock with initials of the maker RM, verge escapement, repeating the hours and quarters, original, signed enamel dial (fine hairline), original hands, corresponding decorative gold chain with probably original gold key, with excellent sound, in museum condition.
