A yellow gold hunting cased watch with enamel scene, made for the Egyptian market, retailed by L. Kramer & Co, Cairo, circa 1912, cal. 11.87 jewelled gilt lever movement.
Two-tone gilt dial with guilloché centerfield, Breguet numerals to the matte chapter ring, covers featuring polychrome enamel paintings, the front of figures on a picturesque promenade with mosques in the background, the reverse with a burst of flowers including lilies and lilac framing a view of a mosque with two minarets above an aquaduct, both sides framed with translucent red enamel over engine-turning within golden scrollwork, the front enhanced with rose-cut diamonds, case signed by maker, dial and movement signed by maker and retailer.
