A Swiss heavy pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph, circa 1890.
18 carat rose gold, polished case with gold dome and pushers for split-seconds chronograph at 11 and via the crown. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, split-seconds, outer chronograph scale 0-300, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. 1/2 plate movement, rhodium-plated, decorated, finely ground, with bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, hand tong for split seconds, side lever escapement and screw compensation balance.
