Gold two train repeating clock watch by Albert H. Potter & Co.

A rare Swiss gold hunting cased two train keyless lever trip minute repeating clock watch, circa 1890. The movement of this watch features a lever escapement, two train with tandem keyless winding, highly jewelled, bimetallic compensation balance, and repeats on two polished steel gongs. It is signed, Albert H. Potter & Co., no. 311. The white enamel dial, signed Albert H. Potter & Co. Geneva, includes Roman numerals, an outer minute ring, a sunken subsidiary seconds dial, and blued steel moon hands.

The gold case has plain polished covers, with short levers beneath the bezel for selecting strike/silent and full strike/hours and quarters. There is a short slide on the band for trip repeat, a glazed cuvette, a gold pendant and bow, and the inside case is stamped with the Albert H. Potter & Co. trademark logo.

The movement functions, but the repeating mechanism is not operational. The trip slide intermittently activates the strike train, but it runs continuously without striking. The dial is in good overall condition, and the case is in good condition with light polishing.
