A fine gold Swiss minute repeating EXTRA adjusted watch with noble provenance, circa 1890. This pocket watch features a Bassine (smooth) 18-carat rose gold case adorned with a crest and the motto Non Nobis Solum (Not for ourselves alone). The white enamel dial showcases Breguet hours, red Arabic minutes, auxiliary seconds, and elegant gold Louis XV hands. The movement of the watch is a calibre SMV, measuring 38 mm, and is made of mailechort, a special nickel and brass alloy. It boasts curved bridges with fausses côtes decoration, 31 jewels, a centre in gold châton, a calibrated lever escapement, a bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, and a micrometre regulator with an all-or-nothing mechanism.

Louis Audemars created a repeating mechanism with a fixed star. This is considered the best quality repeater designed for nobility. The back of the watch has a coat of arms engraved on it. The word EXTRA engraved on the movement indicates the high-quality adjustment of the watch, which has high-quality ruby jewels that are dark red in colour, gold adjustment screws, a micrometric regulator, and a carefully adjusted escapement.
