An extraordinary Swiss minute repeating Carillon pocket watch in a Niello-silver case, circa 1820.
The Niello silver case is lavishly florally decorated and has a case maker’s punch mark DLM. The enamel dial has Arabic hours and gold Breguet hands. And the frosted gilt full plate movement is keywind and has three hammers / three gongs, one barrel for going train, one open barrel for striking train, a cylinder escapement with steel cylinder wheel, and a three-arm gold balance and regulation with bimetallic temperature compensation slat.
