Chronometer with test certificate

A rare observatory chronometer 1st class in gold 1912 with the certificate from L’Observatoire Astronomique in Neuchâtel in 1914 and made by Ulysse Nardin in Locle, Switzerland, circa 1912. The full hunter case in the form of a waterdrop of this watch is made from 18 Carat gold. The numbered dust cover is engraved with, Chronometre, Buletin de 1ère classe de l’Observatoire Astronomique de Neuchatel. The white enamel dial has an outer ring with Arabic numerals for the hours and a subsidiary dial at six o’clock with Arabic numerals for the seconds and blued steel hands. The movement has a top class anchor chronometer escapement, a Geneva striping finish, an exceptionally large Guillaume balance chronometer, a numbered plate, a minute wheel, a gold chaton and a fine adjustment.
Dust cover, dial and movement are signed.
