Chronometer with Geneva Observatory papers
–
An 18 Carat gold numbered observatory chronometer 1st class, with original box and Geneva Observatory papers, made by Vacheron & Constantin in the Canton of Genève, Switzerland, circa 1905. The plain full hunter (savonnette) numbered case in the shape of a waterdrop (à-goutte) was crafted from 18 Carat gold. The dust cover is engraved with Chronometer 1st class certificate from the Observatory in Genève and the white enamel dial, with a subsidiary dial at six o’clock for the seconds, has golden Breguet hands. The numbered movement has an extremely rare and special chronometer calibre with special fine adjustment and Wolf’s teeth.
