An almost as new quarter repeating hunting cased Swiss pocket watch, circa 1895.
18 Carat gold, engine-turned, à goutte case with screwed on monogram, reeded band, inner lid with signature, slide for repeating mechanism, and glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours and blued Breguet hands. Rhodium-plated bridge movement with Geneva Stripes decoration, two hammers / two gongs, pink gold train, wolf teeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, and counterpoised lever.

The Eugène LeCoultre company was active in the second half of the 19th century and produced very fine and extremely complicated watches, some of them with perpetual calendars. In 1880 the company was awarded first prize in the chronometer test at the Geneva observatory.
