A rare Swiss aviator’s chronograph for the U.S. Navy, circa 1920.
Silver case with engraving BU. Aero 9-30 U.S.N. 88-W-600 and chronograph pusher via pendant. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, centre chronograph hand, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter and blued spade hands. Rhodium-plated 3/4 plate movement with “Geneva Striping decoration, 2 Adj., 17 jewels, ground chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.
