A rare Swiss gunmetal finished double sided gentleman’s pocket watch with 24 hour indicator, circa 1900. Frosted gilt bridge movement, a lever escapement and screw compensation balance.
The black enamel dial on the front with radial gold coloured Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals, auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock and Louis XIV hands, the back side with a white enamel dial, Arabic 24 hour numerals in black and red, outer five minutes and blued spade hands, inscribed Breveté Genie on both sides. A plain case.
