Vacheron & Constantin “examined” by Dent The inscription on the cuvette reads “Examined by Dent, Watchmaker to Her Majesty and H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, 61 STRAND and 4 ROYAL EXCHANGE, London”. Was Dent interested in the winding system? In the escapement? Most likely, it will remain a mystery why one of the best British watchmakers decided to examine this particular Swiss watch.
