A Swiss gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with concealed erotic automaton, circa 1890. This watch features a nickel lever movement with a bimetallic compensation balance and coiled gong repeating. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, an Arabic outer track, subsidiary seconds, and Louis XV style hands. The 18 carat gold case has plain covers, and the gold cuvette contains a concealed erotic scene with figures in polychrome enamel against an engraved interior background.
