This exquisite timepiece is a fine example of a rare French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket watch, dating back to approximately 1790. The watch features a regulator dial with a date function, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era.

The dust free movement of the watch is of high quality and has round pillars and cylinder escapement with a three arm balance and blued balance spring.
The white enamel dial is adorned with Arabic numerals, with an eccentric time indication at 6 o’clock and a date indication at 12 o’clock and center seconds, gold poker and beetle hands.

The case of the watch is equally impressive, with engraved bezels and applied decoration. The case back features light blue enamel surrounded by paillons, along with a beautiful central decoration. Push button on top of the pendant to open front for winding.
