A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating triple date calendar keyless lever watch with phases of the moon, circa 1890. Frosted gilt-brass movement, 23 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a button in the band at six o’clock. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, two subsidiary dials for days of the week and date, apertures for the phases of the moon and seconds above six o’clock, unusually placed aperture below twelve o’clock for the month, original decorative gilt hands. Plain case, the front with an engraved monogram, polished band. Front bezel opened by depressing the button in the pendant.
