Gold minute repeating pocket watch

A very fine and rare Russian, 18K gold and enamel minute repeating, hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. Made for the Russian market by Paul Buhre, Supplier to the Russian Imperial Court. A polished case, the front with finely painted champleve enamel monogram in red and blue. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, cuvette and movement signed in Cyrillic.
