Silver Valor pocket watch

A historically significant, elegant Valor pocket watch with a visible movement made in Switzerland, circa 1920. This watch was crafted from silver and has an engine turned back with a vacant cartouche in the center. The skeletonized face with a small, decentralized white enamel dial at 12 o’clock with Arabic hour numerals, dot half hour markers, outer minute divisions and blued steel spade hands. The magnificently engraved, visible movement has a lever escapement and is marked Brevet 29188 Valor Watch.

The Valor pocket watch is an early 20th century Swiss design with limited production, registered under Brevet No. 29188. A rare example of Swiss horological innovation. It is characterized by a crown wound, visible movement on the face, revealing the hand engraved bridges and gearwork in full detail, and a white enamel top positioned dial for the time indication.
