An elegant, super flat Art Nouveau dress watch with enamel painting, made by the Tavannes Watch Co. in Tavannes, Switzerland, circa 1910. The numbered super flat case of this watch was crafted from silver and features a very fine coin rim and an outstanding enamel work on the back depicting “Apollo’s Horses”. The two tone dial features and outer minutes and hour track with Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and filigree steel hands. The movement is equipped with a lever escapement.
The dial is signed.
