A small Swiss 14K yellow gold and enamel lady’s keyless pendant watch, circa 1890. Made for the Chinese market. Scalloped edge engraved with formal decoration, the back cover painted over blue and transparent guilloche enamel a scene of a dove flying amongst orchids, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals within gold circles, the centre pink with gold decoration, outer minute dots and gold Louis XV hands. A gilt movement, nine jewels, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring.
