A technical remarkable, Swiss gentleman’s pocket watch with a rare pin wheel escapement according to Joseph Jeune, circa 1820.
Polished silver case with case maker’s punch mark DLR. Enamel dial with radial Breguet numerals, outer minutes track, winding aperture at 3 o’clock, gold sun hands, and signed: Breguet et Fils. Open brass full plate movement with three arm balance, pin wheel escapement, and signed Joseph Jeune à Delémont.

This model is fitted with a rare pin pallet by Joseph Jeune of Delémont, as inscribed on the plate. The crescent shaped end of the lever on the escapement wheel swings between two staggered rows of 26 vertical pins each.
