A gentleman’s very fine quarter repeating “à toc” pocket watch with double wheel duplex escapement and secret signature, circa 1810. Silver case, reeded band, gilt, frosted, signed and numbered dome with dedication engraving: “Faite pour le Gal. Moreau par Breguet” (“Produced for General Moreau by Breguet”), gold hinges, pusher for repetition via pendant. Dial is enamel, radial Roman numerals, secret signature below “12”, blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, blued screws, 1 hammer, chain/fusee, double wheel duplex escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued, temperature compensated balance spring, shock protection-”parachute”.-
