Silver repeating verge pocket watch by Les Frères Esquivillon & De Choudens

An extremely rare Swiss skeletonized silver quarter repeating pocket watch with Jacquemart automaton and additional hidden erotic automaton, circa 1810.
Case with pearls to both sides, engraved scene of a mountain and lake to the back, automaton release by switch lever beside the hinge. Verge escapement, skeletonized repeater movement with automata. Dial with small enamelled chapter ring and gilt hands. Cuvette signed, movement signed and numbered.

Esquivillon & De Choudens were active in Geneva and Paris between 1765 and 1830. The Geneva watchmaker Jacques Dechoudens (1728-1801) founded a workshop with brothers Joseph Esquivillon (1714-1798), Jean François Esquivillon (1) (1733-1813) and Gédéon-François Esquivillon (1717-1799), who produced high quality verge pocket watches. The company was specialized in automatic figures and music watches.
