Silver triangle form watch

A rare and unusual Swiss silver manual wind Freemason’s pocket watch, circa 1920.

 

Case with cast and engraved ornaments, the blue enamelled letters JGB on the front, a red paste stone in the pendant and a hinged back. White enamel dial with polychrome painted masonic symbols for the numerals, clockwise, the Eye of Providence, a Level, Crescent Moon and Stars, a column from the Temple of Solomon with the letter B for Boaz, Mallet, Compass, Skull, Rule level, an Ax, a column from the Temple of Solomon with the letter J for Joachin, the Sun and a Trowel, an outer minute track, central the moto Bien Dire Et Bien Penser, Ne Sont Rien Sans Bien Faire (Saying Well And Thinking Well Are Nothing Without Doing Well in English) and blued steel moon hands.

 

Rhodium plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator.
