Swiss silver open faced lever precision watch Circa 1885

An open faced pocket watch in its original sales box and with an extract from the archives made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1885. This watch features a high quality silver case with gold hinges. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The movement is fitted with a precision moustache lever escapement and wolf’s tooth.
The case and movement have matching numbers, and the dial and cuvette are signed.
