Gold hunting cased pocket watch by Zenith

A very heavy and fine Swiss Zenith Ankerchronometer with an old leather case, circa 1925. The watch has a 14-carat gold solid à goutte case with three gold lids and a dome inscribed with CHRONOMETRE ZENITH. It is an Ankerchronometer with a fine-adjusting device and gold chatons, signed by Zenith and numbered 2785700. The grained dial is in excellent condition, signed and has Breguet numerals. Additionally, it has a sunk subsidiary dial for the seconds and Breguet hands.

Zenith SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker. The company was started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at the age of 22 in Le Locle in the canton of Neuchâtel. Zenith was purchased by LVMH in November 1999, becoming one of several brands in its watch and jewellery division, which includes TAG Heuer and Hublot. Julien Tornare is the current CEO after Jean-Claude Biver (interim CEO) in 2017, replacing CEO Aldo Magada, who replaced Jean-Frédéric Dufour in 2014. Zenith is a Swiss watch manufacturer that still produces their own movements in-house.
