Gilt silver and enamel pocket watch by Bovet

A very fine Swiss gilt silver, enamel and pearl set center seconds lady’s pendant watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1870. The Flower Gatherers by Bovet. An Empire case, the back enamel panel finely painted with a scene of two children carrying baskets of flowers in a woodland glade, the bezels, pendant and bow set with split pearls, reeded band. Gilt rimmed glazed cuvette.–
White enamel dial with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions and blued steel Breguet hands. Frosted gilt movement, Chinese caliber with a free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, three arm gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
Dial signed, case signed in Chinese characters.
